This morning, I had the opportunity to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Houston National Cemetery. I am always inspired when I visit with our veterans and hear stories of their bravery, selflessness, and determination. From Lexington and Concord to Tora Bora and Mazar-e Sharif, our men and women in uniform are the best and brightest in the country and the envy of the world. Today, on Memorial Day, we are reminded more than ever of this country’s blessings, and we are again humbled by those who have laid down their lives to defend it.
