As we solemnly reflect on the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we will always remember the lives lost during that deadly attack on our great nation. We continually pray for the families of the victims and pay tribute to the heroic first responders. We must never forget the sacrifices of the 40 brave souls on board United Flight 93. We also thank the men and women serving in our armed forces who continue to fight our enemies in the War on Terror. We must remain vigilant and steadfast to ensure a secure America for future generations. Our nation’s resolve is evident in the reconstruction of the Pentagon and One World Trade Center, which rises nearly 80 stories into the sky.
Ten years after the course of American history was changed forever, I join my fellow Americans in honoring the heroes of September 11, 2001. We will never forget their sacrifices and acts of bravery for the country we all love so dearly.
